A growing number of states are updating their election laws to make voting easier but Pennsylvania is not one of them.

According to the National Conference of Legislatures, 21 states allow online voter registration and 23 states permit all voters to cast ballots before election day and 10 states allow voters to register and vote on the same day.

Governor, Tom Wolf, promised during his campaign to push for election reforms.

Acting Secretary of State, Pedro Cortes, says the administration is willing to work with legislators toward that goal.

Cortes also says that online voter registration is already authorized by a 2002 state law.
