Police say what began as a traffic stop quickly turned into a high-speed chase Friday on Interstate 81.

According to State Police, it happened around 10:20 p.m. near Exit 77 on Interstate 81 southbound in Dauphin County.

Troopers say Seth R. Bender, 26, fled in his vehicle just as they tried to pull him over.

Bender led police on 20-mile chase up until he crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on the 700-block of Wertzville Road in Silver Spring Township.

Bender was transported to Hershey Medical Center for minor injuries suffered during the crash.

He now faces charges of  DUI and  fleeing and eluding.
