SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA (WPMT) A Schuylkill County man is indicted on federal charges for illegal possession of a fully functional machine-gun.
According to the criminal information filed today, James Augustus Brauer, 50, of Muir, on January 24, 2012 illegally possessed a fully functional unregistered machine gun and an unmarked and unregistered drop in auto gear, which is a specific part that makes a semi-automatic rifle fire fully automatic when placed into the weapon.
If convicted, Brauer, faces a maximum of 10 years in federal prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
