LANCASTER COUNTY, PA (WPMT) A two alarm damages a Lancaster County motel.  The fire broke out at about 5:25 pm Tuesday at the Rodeway Inn, 2331 Lincoln Highway East in East Lampeter Township.

The first firefighters to arrive on the scene report heavy black smoke that could be seen for miles. The call was quickly upgraded to a second alarm.  The fire reportedly began in a second floor unit of the two story motel. A brick firewall is credited with keeping the fire from spreading within the building.

The fire also backed up traffic along the busy highway at the height of the rush hour.

The fire was under control within half an hour.  One motel guest was treated for smoke inhalation; there were no other reports of injuries.  A State Police Fire Marshal is investigating.
