YORK COUNTY, PA (WPMT) Faulty brakes are being blamed for a military style truck crashing into a Subway store in York County. It happened at about 2:34 pm in the 1700 block of Whiteford Road in Springettsbury Township.
The driver of the truck was westbound on Route 30 when he attempted to stop at a red traffic signal at the North Hills intersection. The brakes failed causing the truck to rear end an SUV and then cross the road and slam into the sandwich shop.
Five customers were in the store, four of them were taken to a local hospital for treatment of lacerations and bruises. Springettsburg Township Police are investigating.
