LANCASTER, PA (WPMT) Lancaster City Police charge the driver of the car in a fatal crash in the city. It happened at 1:29 am on January 3 at the intersection of South Queen and Church streets.
Erick Lopez, 21, of Lancaster, was behind the wheel of an Acura sedan northbound on S. Queen Street that struck a utility pole and three legally parked vehicles. A passenger in the car, David Castro-Valdez, 23, of Lancaster, was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Charges against Lopez include Homicide by Vehicle, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Reckless Driving. Following arraignment, Lopez was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
