Police investigate double homicide/suicide at Quality Inn in York County

Springettsbury Township Police Chief Dan Stump says that three bodies were found around 9AM Sunday morning after an apparent double murder suicide at Quality Inn in Springettsbury Township, York County.

Police found two males and one female dead around 9:15AM Sunday morning. Police believe one of the deceased is the shooter.

At this time the relationship between the three is unknown.  A security guard with the hotel, said the trio checked into room 129 around 3AM. Multiple gunshots were heard around 9AM.

A forensics team is on scene investigating.

Springettsbury Township police are on scene at the Quality Inn Hotel along the 2600 block of E. Market Street.

They were dispatched to the hotel around 9:30 a.m. Sunday. York County Coroners office is on scene and has confirmed that there are multiple fatalities.

Officials seem to be focusing on hotel room 129. No other details are being released at this time.
