The York Revolution Baseball Team opens its ninth season on Friday, but the players took a break from the field to visit some of their fans.

One of their fans is 4-year-old Ella Surynt. Little Ella is one of the patients at the WellSpan York Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital who received a special visit from the Revs. She was recently hospitalized after suffering from a dog bite wound to her face. Her mother says the players' visit may just be what the doctor ordered.

"To see her play while she's in here-- she's been crying that she wants to go home and she doesn't want to sit in here anymore-- I think was really needed right now," Michelle Surynt said. "It came at the best time it could."

With their little fans cheering them on, the York Revs will go up against the Long Island Ducks this Friday at the Santander Stadium.
