The Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation made a pretty sweet donation to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

People with the foundation presented a $5,000 check to the Food Bank at its Harrisburg warehouse. It's part of the Dunkin' Donuts "Day of Giving." They also spent the day sorting and repacking food to help families in need.

"Dunkin' Donuts loves to support the community and they support us everyday and we want to give back in a big way," Dunkin' Donuts Field Marketing Manager Jessica Weissman said. "So today, making the $5,000 grant and volunteering at the warehouse here is just a small way we can continue to give back to the Central PA community

In the second year of a three-year, $1 million commitment, the foundation is working closely with Feeding America to support child-hunger initiatives nationwide. With one in five children in central PA at-risk for hunger, or more than 100,000 children, this  donation will help provide resources for the Food Bank’s efforts to combat children’s hunger in local communities.
