ELIZABETHTOWN, Lancaster County (WPMT) -- Following the earthquake which has left more than 2,500 people dead in Nepal, an Elizabethtown College senior is trying to help friends, family, and millions of others affected in his home country.

Bhim Nepal

Bhim Thapaliya started a GoFundMe.com account in the hopes of sending relief money back home. Donations can be made here: http://www.gofundme.com/sx4hys.

Thapaliya, along with his parents and brothers, immigrated from Nepal to Lancaster in 2010. His relatives were able to survive the earthquake, but a few friends in the capital Kathmandu were killed.

Thapaliya is set to graduate Elizabethtown in May with a degree in biology. He says he plans to visit Nepal, for the first time since his family immigrated, this fall.
