The game between the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox scheduled for Monday has been postponed.
In a tweet, the team said the decision was made after consulting with Baltimore City Police.
Violent protests broke out in Baltimore Monday afternoon in response to the death of Freddie Gray, who died of injuries he sustained while in police custody earlier this month.
A make-up game will be scheduled. The team says fans should keep their tickets until more information is available.
