HARRISBURG, Pa. - A 55-year-old man has been arrested in Hazelton after police said he shot at a group of six juveniles in Harrisburg last month.

Euscebio Frias-Ovalles, of Harrisburg, is charged with one count of criminal attempted homicide, six counts of aggravated assault, six counts of recklessly endangering another person, one count of possession with intent to deliver heroin and discharging a firearm within city limits. He was arrested by U.S. Marshals and will be extradited back to Dauphin County to be arraigned.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Camp Street for reports of shots fired on March 24. Six juveniles, ages 12 through 14, were walking home from school along Wharton Alley when they heard glass breaking nearby, police said.

Frias-Ovalles came out of his home and mistook the teens as the people responsible for breaking his windows. He pulled out a gun and fired several rounds at the group, police said. A 14-year-old boy was hurt after being shot in his right hand. The boy was treated and released.

Police searched Frias-Ovalles home and couldn't find him. They did find 24 baggies of heroin worth $240 and marijuana, according to police reports.

Authorities said a different group of teens were responsible for throwing bricks at the windows.
