Melissa Cowan was brutally murdered by her husband in Lancaster County. Now, her family is teaming up with the family of Sheena Martin, who died in a domestic violence dispute in 2009. The Cowan's and Martin's are now campaigning to save as many lives as they can by running "Melissa Cowan's Walk 4 Life." which is set to happen this weekend. Melissa's mother Kelly and Sheena's sister Falesha joined us on Fox43 morning news to explain how community members can get involved.
Melissa Cowan's Walk 4 Life will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 3. The walk will start at Reservoir Park and end in Binns Park. The walk will end with an event that will feature speakers, music, food and information about domestic violence.
