OVERNIGHT
Skies will be partly cloudy. There may be some valley fog by morning and a bit hazy in spots. Lows will be mild in the upper 50s to near 60.
Plenty of sunshine to end the week as high pressure dominates the area. Highs will respond and warm quickly to the low 80s with a light breeze out of the south. The evening starts out mostly clear but overnight there may be some clouds drifting back into the area, which will keep temps pretty mild around 60.
OUTLOOK
Clouds will thin out during the day Saturday allowing for more sunshine. You will notice the humidity more as moisture increases. There could be a pop up thunderstorm but most of the day looks dry. It will be warm in the low 80s. Mother’s Day will be even warmer and more humid. Again, there may be a pop up thunderstorm especially in the western counties but plenty of dry hours to enjoy the outdoors. Highs will climb to the mid 80s.
If you suffer from allergies, there is not much relief to the high tree pollen until early next week. A cold front will push eastward by Monday and finally cross the area Tuesday. Isolated storms will be possible Monday but a better threat for scattered showers and thunderstorms with the passage of the front on Tuesday. Highs will still be warm in the low 80s but cooler air returns as the pattern changes and a trough moves back over the area. Highs will cool to upper 60s to low 70s. Morning lows will return to the 40s.
The National Hurricane Center is still watching an area of disturbed weather along the southeast coast. It now has an 80% chance of becoming a tropical system, the first of the season, which has not officially begun yet. June 1st marks for the first day of Hurricane Season.
