NEW YORK — A Starbucks employee has been fired after a video of her screaming at a customer went viral.

NBC 4 New York reports customer Ruby Chen ordered a Frappuccino, and was using the Starbucks app on her phone to pay.

Chen says she didn’t hear the woman ask for her name, but at that point she began shouting.

The woman allegedly accused her of trying to steal the cookie straw she was holding, and when Chen asked to speak to a manager she shouted, “You’re talking to the manager!”

The worker was a shift supervisor, not a manager, according to a spokeswoman for Starbucks.

Chen posted the video of the incident to the Starbucks’ Facebook page.

She told NBC4 that Starbucks apologized and offered her a $100 gift card.

A Starbucks spokeswoman said the employee was fired as soon as the learned of the incident.
