Police seek suspect in Saturday night homicide; reward offered

Police in Harrisburg have identified a suspect in the shooting death of 26-year old Cordell Nash-Matthews.

23-year old Dominique Baines is being sought for the homicide and is considered armed and dangerous.

Police believe Baines shot Nash-Matthews outside a home on the 100-block of S. 14th Street. A 21-year old woman was also shot. Both were taken to the hospital in private cars. Officers went to the hospital and learned Nash-Matthews died from his injuries. The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the forearm and has been treated and released.

Baines is being sought on charges of Criminal Homicide, Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Person not to Possess a Firearm and Carrying a Firearm without a License.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dominique Baines is asked to call Harrisburg PoliceĀ  at either (717) 916-2635 or (717) 255-3170. Dauphin County Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $2000.00 for information leading to the arrest and successful conviction of Baines.
