Mifflin County man one of two arrested on child pornography charges

HARRISBURG, Pa. – A Mifflin County man is one of two men arrested by agents with the Attorney General’s Child Predator Section on unrelated child pornography charges.

Steven S. Wileman, 30, was arrested last Wednesday, May 13, after an investigation on a peer-to-peer file sharing service led to his Burnham, Mifflin County address.

Agents executing a search warrant located and previewed the contents of a computer belonging to Wileman.  A preliminary search of the computer found multiple images of child pornography.

Wileman was charged with four counts of distribution of child pornography, 20 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.

He is confined to the Mifflin County Prison after failing to post bail. His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday May 20th.

The second suspect James E. Haddix, 46, of Lycoming County, was arrested after an undercover investigation on a file-sharing network led investigators to his Williamsport residence.

Agents executed a search warrant Haddix’s home last Thursday, May 14, and recovered two laptop computers and an external hard drive. A preliminary search of the laptops showed multiple images of child pornography.

Haddix is charged with three counts of distribution of child pornography, 30 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communications facility.

He is confined to the Lycoming County Prison after failing to post bail. His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for May 28th.
