HARRISBURG, Pa. A federal grand jury in Harrisburg has returned an Indictment charging David Auman, age 37, of Liverpool, with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Auman was also charged with trading the stolen handgun for heroin and being a user of illegal drugs while in possession of a firearm.
The case was investigated by the Harrisburg City Police, the State Police and the Harrisburg Field Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
If convicted Auman faces a maximum penalty of 30 years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a $ 750,000 fine. Indictments and Criminal Informations are only allegations. All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.
A sentence following a finding of guilt is imposed by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
