Man armed with knife robs convenience store

EAST LAMPETER TWP., Pa. Police in Lancaster County are on the lookout for a suspect in the armed robbery of a convenience store.  It happened at about 10:55 pm near closing time yesterday at the Speedway convenience store 5 Hartman Bridge Road, East Lampeter Township.

The male supsected walked up to a female clerk at the counter, then displayed a knife and demanded money.  He took some cash and a carton of cigarettes, then fled on foot in the direction of the adjacent Steamboat Inn. The female clerk was not injured.

East Lampeter Township Police released several images taken by store surveillance cameras of the suspect.  He is a white male, short brown hair, unshaven, with multiple tattoos on both forearms, wearing a black short sleeve shirt and black pants.
