Rain Breakdown

NOT AS STORMY THURSDAY: Conditions are beginning calm along the Lower Susquehanna River Valley on this Wednesday morning. It’s still warm and muggy, with some foggy areas too, but they quickly burn up after sunrise. A week cold front slipping through brings the chance for a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms. However, no severe weather is expected today, and the activity is expected to be a little less widespread. It’s still warm and sticky, with high temperatures reaching the lower to middle 80s.

WEEK ENDS WARM & STICKY: The front stalls and slowly fades just to the south of our region, so not relief from the warmth and humidity is expected. Friday and Saturday is overall quiet, but a couple afternoon showers and storms likely pop up in a few places. Again, any storms that form stay below severe limits. Expect afternoon high temperatures to remain in the lower to middle 80s as well these two days before some changes finally begin to arrive.

GRADUAL COOLING: The warm and sticky air slowly fades through the weekend. A widespread shower and thunderstorm chance returns Sunday, and this is when temperatures begin to fall. Highs are in the middle to upper 70s, but the humidity is still with us. Monday, humidity levels fall to more comfortable readings. There’s still the chance for showers and thunderstorms both Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures are more seasonable for this time of year in the lower to middle 70s. Wednesday looks like the day we finally eradicate the shower and thunderstorm chances.

Have a great Thursday!
