Shooting in York City leaves one man injured

York City police are investigating a shooting that injured one person Friday night.

According to police, officers were responding to a different incident when they heard gun shots coming from the area of West Locust Street around 10:00 p.m.

Police went to the 600 block of Locust Street and found 19-year-old Shane Brown sitting in the street with a gun shot wound to his leg.

Brown was taken to York Hospital by ambulance, his injuries are non-life threatening, police said.

At this time police do not have a description of the shooter or any suspects.
