HARRISBURG, Pa. – A Harrisburg City man, who apparently shot himself, is arrested on multiple charges. Police responded early Tuesday evening to the hospital to investigate a report of a shooting victim seeking treatment.

An investigation determined that the shooting happened at about 6:42 pm at a house on the first block of N. 13th Street.  The victim, identified as 20 year old Joseph Davis, was in the house when he pulled a handgun from his waistband and fired a round.  The bullet struck his groin and passed into his leg.

During a search of the house, police discovered two marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia and ammunition. Searching the area around the house police found a revolver and a shotgun. The shotgun was reported stolen from Earl Township and the handgun had its serial number obliterated.

Davis was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Heroin, Possession with Intend to Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Police also charged Robert Sperduto, 20, with Tampering with Evidence.

The investigation continues. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Detective Christopher Krokos at (717) 255-3784 or Sergeant Wealand at (717) 255-3131.
