Sinkhole closes part of East Maple Street in Palmyra

PALMYRA, Pa.–The 900 block of East Maple Street in Palmyra is closed due to recurring sinkhole problems, according to borough manager Roger Powl.

Westbound traffic from Plaza Drive will be detoured north onto Kenmar Drive and then east onto East Cherry Street  before returning back to Plaza Drive. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north or south onto South Duke Street.

People living along the affected street can access their at the South Duke Street intersection, Powl said.
