ORWIGSBURG, Pa. -- A family-owned business in Schuylkill County has been making children's shoes for more than 100 years.

Kepner-Scott Shoe Company in Orwigsburg was founded in 1888. Despite changes to the economy and with technology, the company has remained strong as a family operation.

“We’ve tried to keep the business small. We don’t try to be everything to everybody. We find niches that work for us,” said company president Steven Zimmerman.

Jackie de Torre with sister station WNEP recently visited the company to get an inside look at the company's past, as well as where company leaders hope it will go in the future.
