YORK, Pa. -- After two brothers were murdered, the community is raising funds to help cover the cost of their funerals. Angel Luis Berrios Jr., 21, and his brother, Abdiel Vasquez-Soto, were both shot on Friday night in York. Police say they drove away from the shooting then crashed into a pole on North Newberry Street.

Berrios died at the scene. Vasquez-Soto died at the hospital. A third passenger suffered minor injuries. Police are still searching for a suspect.

In the meantime, funeral plans are being made for the brothers.

“Heartbroken. There’s no words to describe. I have five kids of my own and I can’t imagine losing two at one time," said fund raiser coordinator and family friend, Yesika Rosado.

Rosado started a gofundme page to raise money for the funerals. They will cost about $12,000.

"They deserve the best. This was a senseless act. Just ripping these boys away from their family is heartbreaking," said Rosado.

Grace Fellowship Church is also raising funds. An anonymous business owner from Hanover donated $6,000.

"We heard that the family doesn’t have any funds and we know that there’s a large cost especially when you have two deaths," said Pastor Robert Tome.

Tome and Rosado want the money to ease the family's pain and remind them that they are not alone in their mourning.

"I just hope that people will see the turmoil and tragedy and think twice before they respond in a hurtful way," said Tome.

Any money left will go to the family. The brothers left seven siblings behind.

Funeral services will begin Monday, June 22 at 10 a.m. at Grace Fellowship in North Codorus Township, York County.
