Agents working for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office executed a search warrant at the Pa. Attorney General’s Office in Harrisburg Thursday as part of their investigation into Kathleen Kane.
A spokesman for Kane confirmed the information Thursday afternoon. It’s unclear how long the agents were there, what they were looking for and if they took anything.
A grand jury recommended Atty. Gen. Kane be charged with various crimes including perjury and obstruction of justice after allegedly leaking secret grand jury information to a newspaper.
Kane has denied any wrongdoing.
Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman is considering the grand jury’s recommendation and trying to decide whether to bring charges against Kane.
Agents also searched the attorney general’s offices in Harrisburg and Norristown in April.
