Monday is a warm, humid, but quiet day with plenty of sunshine.

Monday is quiet, but an approaching warm front brings more heat and humidity to the region Tuesday.

MORE HEAT AND HUMIDITY: Isolated showers and thunderstorms quickly dry out this evening as front moves through the area. Skies clear through the night as well. It still feels humid, with lows in the middle to upper 60s. The warmth and humidity remain through Monday too. Highs are in the middle to upper 80s with plenty of sunshine. Tuesday is even hotter. Afternoon temperatures rise into the upper 80s to lower 90s. Heat indices willsevere likely be in the lower to middle 90s. Another approaching cold front brings the chance for afternoon isolated showers and thunderstorms. We’ll be monitoring the potential for severe weather as well. Currently, damaging winds are expected to be the primary threat, but damaging hail and areas of flooding are not out of the question.

STAYING UNSETTLED: After another dry day on Wednesday, the pattern remains unsettled through the end of the week. Wednesday expect plenty of sunshine, and the humidity is also low. Then, daily chances for showers and thunderstorms are expected Thursday and Friday. Highs remain a bit above seasonable averages. Readings are in the lower to middle 80s through this time frame.

NEXT WEEKEND: The shower and storm chances look to carry into next weekend as a storm system develops. Some cooler air tries to invade as well, and temperatures could fall below seasonable averages, giving us a short break from the summer feel.

Have a great week!
