HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The Pennsylvania House Judiciary Committee approved a resolution to investigate impeaching a Lancaster judge.
District Judge Kelly Ballentine was suspended earlier this year after she pleaded guilty to not paying her income taxes and fixing her own traffic tickets.
State representative Bryan Cutler called for Ballentine to be impeached because of her "violations of integrity."
The resolution moves to the full house for a vote. If it passes, lawmakers can open an investigation.
