YORK, Pa. - With swimsuit season kicking off, many people may be looking for ways to burn fat, but there's a new non-surgical procedure that freezes the fat away. CoolSculpting is a noninvasive procedure freezes fat below the skin so it can be flushed out naturally.

"It's a controlled technology that will freeze the unwanted fat cells in the designated area for the patient," Dana Allen with Lébo Skin Care said. Allen explained that the procedure involves applicators that are used with a vacuum and a freezing technology that will control the settings to freeze the unwanted fat in a certain area.  Allen says each treatment takes about an hour. According to the skin care center, the most popular areas for local men and women are the love handles. The “muffin top” is also very popular among women.

Lèbo in York has given patients CoolSculpting treatments for the last two years-- performing more than 1,000 treatments in the past year.
