LANCASTER, Pa. – Lancaster County District Judge Jayne Duncan has been temporarily removed from office. Duncan’s Magisterial District 02-3-09 is based in Elizabethtown. She has held the post since 1991. Her court handles cases in Elizabethtown, Mount Joy and West Donegal Townships.
Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Dennis Reinaker ordered Duncan’s suspension last week on June 25. Her cases have been reassigned to other district judges.
The reason cited for Duncan’s suspension was an ongoing criminal investigation. Authorities would not comment further.
