Warrant issued for child rape suspect

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – Police in Lancaster County are on the look out for an Ephrata man wanted for rape of a child.

Tito Santos-Vargas, 48, is charged with Rape, Rape of a Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child and Corruption of Minors. The alleged sexual assaults occurred between April and June at a home in Ephrata Township.

Ephrata Police have an arrest warrant for Santos-Vargas, whose whereabouts is unknown. Investigators say he has family and friends in Lancaster and the Lakewood, New Jersey area.

Santos-Vargas, is a hispanic male, bald, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Anyone with information on the the location of the Santos-Vargas is asked to contact Ephrata Police at (717) 733-8611.
