HARRISBURG, Pa. — Tuition rates at Pennsylvania’s 14 state-owned universities is rising for the 2015-2016 school year.

The Board of Governors for the State System of Higher University voted to increase tuition by $240, or 3.5%. That means full-time Pennsylvania residents will pay $7,060 to attend college this year. Full-time out-of-state students will pay anywhere from $7,413 to $17,650.

The colleges in the State System include Millersville University in Lancaster County and Shippensburg University in Cumberland County.

The other colleges are Bloomsburg, California, Cheyney, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Slippery Rock and West Chester Universities of Pennsylvania.
