MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa.-- Photographs are not allowed to be taken at the U.S. Women's Open at the Lancaster Country Club, but there is an alternative. Lancaster artist Liz Hess created an image to capture the spirit of the Open. The picture includes the golf course, the stands, spectators and a golfer. It also has the red umbrella that Hess is famous for having in her paintings. The umbrella is also a reminder of severe weather that suspended play this week. She is selling the paintings at the event.

"I was honored and thrilled to be a part of this, it's of a scale that I have never been a part of before. I've done events before but nothing of course to this scale, and its been wonderful to meet all of these various people from various countries," says Hess.

Hess was selected as the official local artist for the 2015 U.S. Women's Open. The Open will wrap up on Sunday. Going into the final day, after three rounds of play, Amy Yang is at the top of the leader board buy three strokes. Stacy Lewis is three shots off the lead, while defending champion Michelle Wie is tied for fifth place.
