The crowds, sales and volunteers were just of few of the things organizers say made the 2015 U.S. Women's a success in Lancaster County. The course and the grounds of the Lancaster Country Club in Manheim Township were also second to none.
On the 12th hole, was the 1761 Club that offered spectators a unique view of the course. It also included a bar built-in a barn from 1761.
It took years to plan the event and everyone involved agree it did not disappoint.
"Couldn't have done it without the team effort. Everyone from start to finish. I'm just ecstatic, just ecstatic about it,"
says Jerry Hostetter, General Chairman of the Open.
The Lancaster Country Club will have the opportunity to host a USGA championship in the future.
Before that though, major clean-up is underway in an effort to have the club ready for its members again by Tuesday.
