Dance studio operator charged with sexual assault of teen in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. — Police say the operator of a dance studio in Lancaster sexually assaulted a 13 year-old girl. Jose M. Rivera-Vasquez is accused of assaulting the victim in the attic of his home, 410 S. Ann St., also the home of his dance team, “Lancaster Deep Roots.” The victim was a member of the dance team from the beginning of October 2014 through May of 2015. She told police Rivera-Vasquez performed numerous sex acts on her in the attic of his home.

Police charged Rivera-Vasquez with Statutory Sexual Assault, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Corruption of Minors, and Indecent Assault. Rivera-Vasquez is currently incarcerated on Sexual Assault related charges filed on June 28, 2015 involving a different victim.
