Ephrata man dies in single vehicle crash Friday morning

WEST EARL TOWNSHIP, Pa. – West Earl Township Police identify the victim in a single vehicle fatal crash last week as Elam Burkholder, of Conestoga Creek Road, Ephrata.

The crash happened at about 10:18 Friday morning in the 100 block of West Farmersville Rd. near Brethren Church Rd.  Burkholder was the sole occupant of a blue Chevrolet Malibu.    The car went off the roadway and struck a utility pole about six-hundred feet east of Brethren Church Road.

West Earl Township Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Officer Frederick Riccelli at (717) 859-1411. West Earl Police are waiting the results of an autopsy and their investigation remains open and active.
