Harrisburg man charged in rape of 17-year-old girl

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. – Swatara Township Police responded at about 4:04 Tuesday afternoon to the 7400 block of Derry Street to investigate an alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old female.

Upon arrival, officers located a male suspect leaving the area and detained him. The victim was located with family members. She was taken to a local hospital as part of the investigation and later released to her family.

Police identified the suspect as Carlos Flores-Sanchez, 34, of the 7100 block of Huntingdon Street, Harrisburg.

Charges against Flores-Sanchez include Rape, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Sexual Assault, Corruption of Minors, and Unlawful Contact with a Minor. Following arraignment he committed to the Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
