Warmer and more humid for Friday
MORE SUMMER LIKE: After a beautiful Thursday, some changes are on the way as we close out the work week. In the meantime, the evening remains beautiful. Skies are clear, and this lasts through the night. The humidity begins to rise near daybreak, but it’s still a comfortable night. Overnight low temperatures dip into the lower to middle 60s, with a few spots falling into the upper 50s. Some patchy areas of fog or haze may form near daybreak. Temperatures are on the way up Friday, along with the humidity. Afternoon highs reach the lower to middle 80s with increasing clouds ahead of our next system. There’s a chance for a late day shower or thunderstorm, especially to the west.
HOT & HUMID WEEKEND: Both the heat and humidity crank up for the weekend. Highs approach 90 degrees on Saturday. Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms are possible due to daytime heating and high humidity. The heat increase Sunday, with afternoon high temperatures rising into the lower to middle 90s. Heat indices are expected to be in the middle 90s to near 100 degrees! A stray thunderstorm is still possible during the afternoon.
NEXT WEEK: The weekend warmth slowly fades a bit through next week. On Monday, a cold front approaches, bringing our next chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms. It’s not as hot, but still humid. Highs are in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Tuesday we dry out, but it’s still quite warm, with reading in the middle to upper 80s. Wednesday and Thursday feature plenty of sunshine, with afternoon temperatures slowly falling into the middle 80s.
Have a great night!
