A Carlisle man has been taken into police custody in connection with the death of a woman last month.

David Buckwalter, 54, was found in Harrisburg around 11:30 Saturday morning. He was arrested without incident and faces charges of Abuse of a Corpse.

Police had been seeking Buckwalter in the death of 51-year old Collette Bauer. Her body was discovered inside her home on the 800-block of Bridge Street in New Cumberland on June 20th. Bauer’s cause of death has not been determined, however, toxicology results expected this week should provide more information on the reason for her death.

New Cumberland Police credit the public’s calls to Cumberland County Crime Stoppers with Buckwalter’s apprehension.
