Heat Index

Heat indicies range from 95 to 105 degrees on Sunday.

EVEN HOTTER SUNDAY: The heat increases Sunday, with afternoon high temperatures rising into the lower to middle 90s. Heat indices are expected to be in the middle 90s to near 100 degrees! A stray thunderstorm is still possible during the afternoon. The weekend warmth fades a touch through next week. severeOn Monday, a cold front approaches, bringing our next chance for widespread showers and thunderstorms. A few of these storms could be on the stronger side. It’s not as hot, but still very humid. Highs are in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Heat index values in the lower 90s are possible at times.

NOT AS HOT: Tuesday is not nearly as hot, with seasonable readings in the middle 80s. The humidity sticks around however. A thunderstorm chance is trying to sneak its way into the forecast. Wednesday and Thursday feature plenty of sunshine, with afternoon temperatures in the lower to middle 80s. The humidity takes a very brief break Wednesday before beginning to rise again on Thursday.

STAYING MAINLY DRY: There’s a small thunderstorm chance on Friday, otherwise the region looks dry overall heading into next weekend. It stays toasty as well, with temperatures hovering near or a bit above seasonable averages in the middle 80s. The humidity adds an uncomfortable feel.
