Some local celebrities, including some of your favorite FOX43 favorites, put their golf skills to the test on Saturday.

The 16th Annual Giant's Celebrity Putting Contest was held at the Hershey Country Club. 'Miracle Children' from the Children's Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital, who are dealing with or have overcome illnesses, tried to get the best score. They were teamed up with celebrities from local television and radio stations and other businesses.

Every year, the putting contest raises money for charities in our area, including Children's Miracle Network. Organizers say the youngsters are what makes the event so special.

"This is one of our favorite events with Giant Food Stores and all the kids and what's great about it is of course we're in our 16th year now so what we've been able to do is see many of these children who have found good health coming back year after year and not only do we get to connect with them and their families and say hello; it's sort of like a reunion for the kids so this really is a heartwarming event for all of us," says Chris Brand, Public and Community Relations manager at Giant Food Stores.

FOX43's Amy Lutz, Michael Hyland, Rebecca Solomon and Melissa Nardo were happy to take part in the event.
