Harrisburg police are investigating the death of a two-month-old girl who died Wednesday.
Police say they were called around 10:30 a.m. to the 1400 block of S. 15th Street after learning the baby was not breathing. Emergency officials say they were able to stabilize the infant enough to take her to Harrisburg Hospital, where she later died.
Police say the baby fell asleep on the family’s couch, and that her mother found her unresponsive and not breathing. Police say the mother immediately called 911. The family is cooperating with the investigators, police say.
