DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa.–A Newport man is behind bars accused of sexually abusing a child for approximately six years, according to Pennsylvania State Police reports.
Brandon Sterling Kennedy, 30, is charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, indecent assault, indecent exposure and terroristic threats.
The alleged sexual abuse happened in Dauphin County between 2008 and 2013–when the girl was between the ages of 5 and 11, state troopers said.
According to police reports, Kennedy threatened to kill the girl’s mother if the little girl did not perform sex acts on him.
Kennedy was arrested on July 18 and taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 8.
