Dog found shot in the head in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa.–Police are investigating after a dog was found shot in the head in Carlisle early Friday morning.

The injured pit bull was found along the 100 block of West Penn Street around 2:50 a.m.

Police said the dog was bleeding from its head–where it had been shot. The dog is currently in stable condition awaiting surgery.

The dog was not microchipped and did not have any tags or collar.
