Lancaster County, Pa. – Two men, one from Adams County, the other from Lancaster County, are arrested on multiple charges involving possession of child pornography.  Federal, state and county agencies tasked to locate offenders who use the internet to sexually exploit children, detected child pornography sharing over the internet in both cases.

Pennsylvania State Police – Lancaster Barracks, arrested John William Thomas, 54, of New Holland this morning on six felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography following an investigation that began in December, 2014.

The State Police Computer Unit Crime Unit discovered that someone was sharing images of child pornography over the internet from Thomas’ home.  On June 17, state troopers executed a search warrant at his residence and seized computers and storage drives.  Upon forensic examination,of the seized items, images and videos depicting child pornography were discovered.

Williams faces a preliminary hearing on August 13.

The Adams County District Attorney’s Office says Charles Joseph Greco, 33, of 725 Chambersburg Road, Gettysburg, was arrested on Thursday, July 30, and charged with twenty counts of Possession of Child Pornography and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted state and county agencies that child pornography was being uploaded from Greco’s Gettysburg address.  A search warrant was executed and a computer was seized containing numerous images of children in various stages of nudity.

Following  arraignment Greco was released after posting bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for August 5.

In Dauphin County, Michael Kman, 51, of Harrisburg, pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday to Production of Child Pornography.  According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Kman was charged as a result of inducing, persuading and coercing his then 17 year old daughter, to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a pornographic video.

Sentencing date for Kman has not yet been set. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 30 years behind bars, a term of supervised release following imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
