The widows of two men killed during a mass shooting at the Ross Township, Monroe County municipal building have filed federal lawsuits.
The husbands of Frances LaGuardia and Linda Goss-Kozic were among the three people killed in August 2013.
The women filed the lawsuits against township officials and the Monroe County Sheriff.
They say those leaders knew gunman Rockne Newell was mentally unstable and capable of violence, but they failed to provide security.
The lawsuits seek more than $150,000 in damages.
Newell pleaded guilty earlier this year and is serving life in prison.
