Mowing Forecast

Sunday morning is a great opportunity to mow the lawn with cool temperatures and low humidity.

After peaking in mid-July, average high temperatures slowly fall through the month of August.

PLEASANT SUMMER WEEKEND: After a beautiful start to the month of August, a fantastic night awaits the Lower Susquehanna River Valley too. Clear skies and low humidity allow temperatures to fall into the upper 50s to middle 60s. It’s great sleeping weather, and a nice treat for the beginning of the month. Sunday skies are mostly sunny, and the humidity creeps up a touch. It’s still very warm, with temperatures a bit above seasonal averages in the middle to upper 80s. However, it’s not too humid.

The heat and humidity makes a brief comeback on Monday.

WARM START TO WEEK: The heat briefly returns for early next week. A cold front brings the chance for a couple late day thunderstorms Monday. Otherwise, it’s a hot and humid day with afternoon high temperatures near 90 degrees. Tuesday skies clear, but it’s still very warm. Humidity level come down a bit. Highs are in the middle to upper 80s.

WEEK ENDS UNSETTLED: The middle to end of next week looks fairly seasonable, with temperatures hovering near the middle 80s on Wednesday. Expect a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Although there is great model disagreement on rain chances, at the moment Thursday through Saturday has a daily shower chance. Temperatures should run a bit below average too, depending on rain chances.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
