Update: 19-year old York woman found unresponsive in creek on York College campus

UPDATE: Spring Garden Township Police released some updated information on the case Saturday night.

They say the woman, found unresponsive in Tyler Run Creek on Friday evening, is 19-years old and lives in York. The woman was released from York Hospital after being medically cleared.

Police say more information will be released as the investigation progresses.



SPRING GARDEN TOWNSHIP, Pa.–A woman was found unresponsive– lying in a creek on the campus of York CollegeĀ  on Friday evening, police said.

The unidentified woman was found just before 6 p.m. in the Tyler Run Creek in Spring Garden Township. She was taken by ambulance to York Hospital for evaluation. Investigators said the woman’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Many questions remain on how the woman came to be in the creek. There’s no word yet on her identity.

An investigation is underway.
