Lebanon City man charged with possession of child pornography

LEBANON CITY, Pa. – A Lebanon City man is behind bars charged with Possession of Child Pornography.  On Tuesday afternoon at about 1:30 pm, police were called to a home in the 200 block of East Cumberland Street.  They were called by an employee of a heating/cooling company.

While working in the home, the employee observed the man who lived there, later identified as Benjamin Campbell, 77, seated at his computer looking at photographs on the screen that he believed were child pornography.

Police obtained a search warrant and seized the computer, digital storage media and several printed photographs depicting child pornography.  The computer and digital storage will be subjected to forensic analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.

Following arraignment Campbell was sent to Lebanon County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
