Man accused of exposing himself at Goodwill store in East Lampeter Township

EAST LAMEPTER TOWNSHIP, Pa.–Police arrested a Philadelphia man who allegedly exposed himself to a young girl at a Goodwill store in East Lampeter Township on Wednesday.

Joshua J. Gilchrist, 32, is charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness and retail theft.

Officers responded to the Goodwill store located along the 2300 block of Lincoln Highway East for a man who had exposed himself to a young girl near the dressing rooms around 12:12 p.m. on Wednesday.  Witnesses told police the suspect a thin black male, with a muscular build and shaved head. He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt and dark shorts.

Later that same day–police received a report of a retail theft from Kohl’s located along the 2300 block of Lincoln Highway East. A man matching the  description of the suspect was seen stealing $110 worth of items from the store.

Gilchrist was found nearby and arrested. He was positively identified by a witness and surveillance video, police said. Gilchrist was taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
